Nermina was born July 30,1991 in Doboj, Bosnia and Herzegovina. When she was six years old, her mother passed away from an illness. Nermina was then sent to live with foster parents in a small village a few miles away from Maglaj.
She had always wanted to attend university but, until she heard about the Bosana Foundation’s program, she had no idea that it would be her reality one day since her foster parents are unable to pay for her education.
Nermina graduated in 2015 after studying English and pedagogy. She says she feels now “like anything is possible” and that her life will be much better. She is interested in studying English and pedagogy. Nermina is now very much looking forward to the future.
