Shoot for the Moon, even if you miss, you will land among the stars

January 14th, 2020

When I was six years old I wanted to be an astronaut. I was very angry with my parents when I realised that I am not going to school for astronauts but going to regularly primary school.

They noticed that I didn't want to give up on my dreams and bought me an astronaut book which was in the German language. I did not understand a word form the book except the message that my parents wrote on the first page, it said: "Shoot for the moon, even if you miss, you will land among the stars".

At that time, I did not understand what they want to tell me with that but, during my education, somehow I always was returning to that book to read those words. Since the situation in Mostar and generally in the whole country is not so good, I never expected anything from my parents, just to support me in my dreams however they are unrealistic.

In the second year of my faculty, my parent's support and hope in a better future were not enough for me to finish my studies. At social media, I founded out about BOSANA Foundation and the opportunities that they provide.

After applying and interview, it was waiting time. When I read an email that I am accepted, a little astronaut woke up inside of me again! This time he shot for the Moon.

Since I have got the scholarship, my motivation was at a higher level and my education became better. I won all of the University awards and the award for the best student in my generation. Every support from BOSANA is worth more than anything to me because I know that comes from the heart, and that kind of support a man can receive only from the family, and I am incredibly proud to be part of BOSANA family.
